Exhibit at Atelier de Artistas

On November 5, 2005, my first solo exhibit opened at the Atelier de Artistas, in Lisbon, Portugal. More than 30 pieces were exhibited for about three weeks. Here's a selection of what was on display.

The first group includes various landscapes in my favorite medium, watercolor. The first row is from California's Yosemite National Park (starting with the famous "El Capitan"); the second one, from the Portuguese coast around Lisbon (Cabo da Roca, Guincho, Adraga); the third one from various places: Scotland, New Jersey, Geres (Portugal). Except for the last two, these were all painted during the Summer of 2005. Sizes vary, mostly around 12x18 in.

The second group includes various oil paintings. Though not representing any particular landscape, the last two paintings are largely inspired by various sights in and around Sintra, one of my favorite spots on this planet. I painted these from January 2004 to July 2005. Sizes vary, but most are 18x18 in.

Finally, here is the miscellaneous section: an oil landscape (12x18in); a watercolor landscape (12x18in); a 20x20in oil painting of a typical townscape in southern Portugal; a small watercolor portrait of my father; and an acrylic of my favorite building in NYC: the Chrysler building (approx 1x5ft).
